Coordinator, Confidential Client (Seconded to Reputed, Global, Not-for-profit Organisation), Mumbai

 

1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Coordinator, Confidential Client (Seconded to Reputed, Global, Not-for-profit Organisation), Mumbai

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Our client is a is large Indian logistics group, supporting a global, not-for-profit’s work in India in the area of nature-based solutions.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Job Holder will be on the rolls of our client, and will be seconded to a global not-for-profit organisation, working on global reforestation work.  The post-holder shall be seconded by our client to a reputed, global, not-for-profit, working in the area of nature-based solutions. S/he will be working under the guidance of the Regional Lead, in close coordination with global teams in Europe, Asia, as well as in India.

Key Job Responsibilities:

(A) Partner Engagement

 

(1) Supporting business engagement and the recruitment of specific corporate pledges towards conservation, restoration, and reforestation in India;
(2) Working with institutional partners in the region, as well as national and local organisations, to support the development and implementation of a thought and action agenda for the initiative.

(B) Project Communications
 

(1) Supporting the implementation of the communications strategy in the region under the guidance of the Communications Lead;
(2) Drafting regional content for social channels and blog posts.

(C) Event Management

(1) Supporting the convening of a multi-stakeholder coalition in India;
(2) Supporting event conceptualization, design, and implementation;
(3) Managing event logistics, including drafting and sending invitations to speakers and attendees, sending reading material, securing venues/ setting up virtual meetings, etc.

(D) Project Management and Administration

(1) Keeping timelines for various workstreams and tracking actions needed to achieve project milestones and objectives;
(2) Supporting the coordination of various stakeholders;
(3) Preparing presentations, meeting agendas, and minutes;
(4) Supporting impact data collection and report production;
(5) Processing contracts and invoices.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, Communications, or another relevant subject. 

Experience

(1) Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in partner engagement, program and event management, communications, and/or administration.

(2) Experience of working with respected non-profits working in the social sector, especially in the areas of climate change, afforestation and/or natural resource management, will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies
(1) Understanding of the climate, forest and restoration agendas;
(2) Excellent organization and time-management skills, as well as a partner-oriented attitude;
(3) Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment;
(4) Able to respond appropriately to high-level demands under pressure and juggle multiple priorities;
(5) Excellent communication skills and command of English; fluency in another language shall be a plus;
(6) Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
(7) Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and ranges from Rs. 7 to 10 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history. 

6. NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT: 

The selected candidate shall be offered a regular, full-time position with our client.
