1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Data-cum Admin Officer, John Snow India Private Limited (JSIPL); Two Vacancies; Punjab and Maharashtra.

About the Project (M-Rite COVID 19 Vaccination Project)

Under a USAID grant, JSI has been mandated to provide technical assistance to the Government of India and State governments of select states, to identify challenges and facilitate feasible solutions to help them rapidly ramp up COVID-19 vaccination, aligned with prevalent Government of India policy.

JSIPL is the designated lead partner to aggregate, coordinate, and support the National and State Governments, with the technical assistance required to facilitate the scale-up of COVID-19 vaccination of the population, supported by multiple sub-partners. JSIPL will support demand and supply-side acceleration at the national, state, and sub-state levels. Areas of technical assistance to be provided are flexible and shall depend on the needs of the national and concerned state governments, but shall include and not be limited to supply chain, digital health, technology support, last-mile delivery, micro-planning, demand generation, data analysis, and workforce expansion.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
JSIPL is urgently looking for Data-cum Admin Officers (DAO). Working under the supervision of the Regional Manager (RM), the DAO will be responsible for developing systems to monitor and compile project related data. S/he will be responsible for designing and implementing data collection forms and conducting data analysis as required by the project. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing administrative, procurement and logistical support.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Develop processes to monitor, compile and analyze COVID-19 vaccination coverage related to the project, at the state and regional level;
(2) Acquire, collate, analyze and interpret data received from select states in the region;
(3) Liaise with state teams to validate all incoming data, to ensure correctness and completeness of data and summarized data analysis;
(4) Prepare, compile and summarize all data reports to meet the on-going requirements of the team;
(5) Analyze and present actionable information;
(6) Assist in the design and revision of data collection formats and analytical tools using Excel Macro Programming, to accelerate processes for the M&E team;
(7) Prepare and present periodic program progress reports, and other documentation to various stakeholders, including the Immunization Division of the state, technical partners, NGOs, cooperating partners and others, as required to represent and inform the team at the regional level;
(8) Limit the risk of data loss by taking regular back-ups and implementing necessary steps to ensure that the data processing environment is free of virus problems;
(9) Provide administrative support to organize meetings, training and workshops;
(10) Coordinate arrangements for travel, including hotel reservations and/or local travel, when necessary;
(11) Serve as focal point for the procurement process in concerned states of the region;
(12) Maintain e-files and records related to inventory, procurement, administrative and logistical matters;
(13) Travel as per the requirement of the project to support the team in field activities;
(14) Carry out other activities as suggested by the supervisor.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification and Experience:

(1) Bachelor’s in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Data Management, and/or Computer Applications;
(2) Minimum three years of experience in data management and providing administrative support;
(3) Experience in the field of public health at the district/ state level, is desirable;
(4) Experience and understanding of urban immunization datasets, is desirable;
(5) Experience in collecting and collating routine immunization data, or other relevant types of public health data, is preferred;
(6) Experience in conducting M&E, data quality assessment evaluations and/ or training;
(7) Knowledge of public health issues and the immunization program, will be a plus;
(8) Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and partners;
(9) Experience in data entry and analysis;
(10) Experience of handling accounts and administrative tasks.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Ability to produce high quality deliverables, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and coordinate and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail;
(2) Proficiency in spoken and written English, Hindi and the regional language of the allotted state;
(3) Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel and Word.


5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

6. LOCATIONS: 
Punjab (1 vacancy); and Maharashra (1 vacancy).  

Preference shall be given to candidates with prior work experience in concerned states, while assigning duty stations.
