2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

India Health Fund (IHF) is a collaborative initiative of the Tata Trusts and the Global Fund, leveraging the power of collective impact and catalyzing India’s fight against infectious diseases.

IHF was conceived to accelerate India’s progress in the elimination of infectious diseases, in alignment with the objectives of the Government of India and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). IHF supports the development of breakthrough solutions that help accelerate the eradication of infectious diseases, apart from aggregating funds and deploying resources, to finance their development, with a view to enabling better outcomes in the diagnosis, treatment, control and monitoring of infectious diseases.

Key collaborators of the IHF include central and state government agencies, philanthropists, civil society organisations, incubators, start-ups, knowledge institutions, technical partners, business leaders, corporations.

Focus areas for IHF comprise:
(a) Prevention: Infection control and vector control

(b) Screening: For communicable/ non-communicable diseases and co-morbidities
(c) Diagnostics: Solutions, capability, and infrastructure
(d) Treatment and Patient Pathways: At point of care and remote access
(e) Surveillance and analytics

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate shall be a part of the Program and Portfolio Team to support IHF’s objective of innovation development and adoption to improve healthcare outcomes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Undertake desk research, landscaping and analysis to support strategy development;
(2) Portfolio development - Identify potential innovations / technologies, relevant to focus areas;

(3) Support portfolio management activities; Monitoring and reporting progress of projects;
(4) Support in development and execution of M&E framework;
(5) Support in designing implementation projects for translation and application of healthcare technologies in real life settings for underserved communities;
(6) Support budgeting, reporting, and project management;
(7) Prepare relevant reports, presentations, other documents;
(8) Support related internal and external communications with stakeholders;
(9) Support organizing meetings, workshops & other events;
(10) Work with cross-functional teams to learn and support organisation’s growth.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a MBBS / Allied medical field / MPH / MSc in Biotechnology/ BTech / MTech / MBA and related fields, with a core focus on health sector.

Experience:

Minimum one to three years of experience in health care innovation and technology.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Understanding and exposure to infectious diseases domain will be an asset;
(2) Exposure to med-tech/ healthcare digital technology-based innovations will be an advantage;
(3) Written and Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication ability, technical content development, regular report generation
, experience in writing grant proposal and implementation project design;
(4) High integrity personality who is proactive, self-starter, team player.


5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position, is between Rs. 7 to 8 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
