2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Headquartered at Seattle, WA-USA, SightLife, with South Asia Regional Headquarters in New Delhi-India, is the only non-profit global health organization, focused solely on eliminating corneal blindness.

Working with governments, hospitals, eye care providers and community health workers in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, SightLife and its partners have restored sight or prevented blindness for more than 200,000 men, women, and children each day. This is accomplished through four signature programs: advocacy, prevention, clinical training, and eye banking, ensuring patients have access to quality care.

SightLife’s mission is to eliminate corneal blindness globally, taking a health systems approach to prevent and treat those who suffer from corneal blindness, 90% of whom live in low- and middle-income countries.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Training and Prevention and working closely with the Program Manager for Clinical Training, as well as the Vice President of Asia/Country Director for India and other program, communications, and mission advancement staff, the Learning and Development Manager (LDM) shall drive the instructional design of in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning experiences for SightLife's Clinical Training Program, which serves healthcare providers across all cadres in low-and middle-income countries.

S/he will lead partnership and relationship management with senior level subject matter experts for the design of these learning experiences.


The LDM shall also be responsible for managing SightLife clinical training courses and resources hosted on their learning management system among other duties and activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

(1) Project manage end-to-end curriculum development, piloting, finalization, and updating in accordance with program, grant, and partner needs;
(2) Engage with a wide variety of senior subject matter experts around the world in course design, development, and piloting, including to gather and curate content, develop lesson plans, and review draft curricula for SightLife clinical training programs;
(3) Utilize instructional design, adult learning principles and innovative methods in the conceptualization, design, and development of virtual, hybrid and in-person learning programs for multiple levels of learners;
(4) Ensure quality control of learning solutions against outlined learning objectives and translate content into learner-centered experiences;
(5) Collaborate with regional and in-country teams to adapt curriculum to local needs;
(6) Manage clinical training section of digital online learning management platform, enrolling students in courses, updating content in courses, uploading core resources, etc;
(7) Leverage key tools, and performance monitoring methods to deliver results and track/assess effectiveness.;
(8) Lead the development and execution of curricula and learning product annual work planning;
(9) Actively leverage and maintain project management tools to fuel effectiveness and operational excellence;.
(10) Help cultivate a collaborative working environment, bringing team members and their ideas together;
(11) Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:             

Qualifications:

(1) Bachelor's Degree in any field;
(2) Master’s degree with emphasis on Organizational Design, Instructional Design, Educational or Organizational Psychology, Education Technology, Business Administration (MBA), or other relevant field, shall be preferred.

Experience:

(1) At least five years of recent experience in instructional design and learning asset materials development;
(2) Experience of working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including partners, cross-functional teams, senior level subject matter experts, to drive results;
(3) Experience in virtual and in-person learning management;
(4) Experience in the assessment of learning needs, developing, executing and measuring success of learning solutions;
(5) Prior experience in the development/ health sector, shall be preferred.


Skills and Competencies:

(1) Proven oral and written communication skills to build and execute learning experiences and products;
(2) Experience in setting and meeting product roadmaps, timelines and lead to process improvements to support scaling of learning and development programs;
(3) Strong organizational, communications, relationship, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high quality products;
(4) Detail-oriented with an ability to set clear priorities alongside keen analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, that drive decision making and projects to completion;
(5) Prior experience and competency in learning management systems, Microsoft Office’s essential applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), InDesign, Articulate SCORUM files, as well as SharePoint, Teams, Zoom;
(6) Preferred familiarity with project management software (e.g., Airtable, Trello, or similar);
(7) Strong written and spoken English language proficiency;
(8) Flexibility to work during off-hours, nights, and weekends, when needed.


5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is Rs.12 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
