Our client is a respected non-profit, that works to improve the quality of life and preserve the rights of disadvantaged people.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief- Fundraising (CF) shall have overall responsibility for leading the development and implementation of fundraising, public engagement, and associated marketing strategies, for the organization.

In consultation with senior management, the CF shall lead develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, encompassing institutional donors, impact funds, corporate foundations and donors, HNIs, individual givers, etc.

The post-holder shall direct and lead a team of institutional and individual fundraisers, as well as marketing professionals, to assure sustained fundraising for the organization’s projects, improve visibility and strengthen their brand across India.

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Work in close collaboration with the CEO as a key member the senior management team, providing leadership to the fundraising, communications, marketing and related  functions of the organization;
(2) Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to sustain the growth of the organization, based on a diverse range of donor streams;
(3) Develop long-term and sustainable, fundraising strategies that enable the organization to meet its program goals and objectives;
(4) Establish and nurture organizational relationships with key external resources, coalitions, strategic alliances, impact funds and fundraising networks;
(5) Monitor and deepen existing relationships with institutional donors, corporates foundations, HNIs and individuals;
(6) Provide senior level representation and strategic inputs to the organization, in the context of contributing to the development of its resource mobilization plans, enhancing its visibility and credibility on different forums and platforms and furthering its agenda;
(7) Identifying opportunities for and supporting advocacy initiatives undertaken by the organization’s senior management and advocacy teams.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification
Applicants must be postgraduates in Communications, Management, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline.

Experience
(1) Applicants must have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in resource mobilization, of which atleast five should have been in successfully designing and implementing fundraising strategies for large non-profits;
(2) Demonstrable experience in digital marketing is essential;
(3) Experience in managing international resource mobilization operations, shall be an advantage.

(1) Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate high performing teams;
(2) Strong strategic fundraising leadership skills;
(3) Strong relationship management skills;
(4) Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and negotiation skills;
(5) Ability to understand the programs and proposal development;
(6) Excellent staff management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position is attractive and compares favorably with the remuneration paid by progressive non-profits in the sector. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
