1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Senior Manager- Donor Reporting and Communications, IIMPACT, Gurugram

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Established in 2003, IIMPACT is an initiative of alumni of the batch of 1978, from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, providing primary education across India, to young girls from socially and economically disadvantaged communities, with no access to schooling.

The vision and mission of IIMPACT is to transform the lives of women, families, and entire communities in India, by the education and empowerment of the girl child, mobilizing and motivating non-school going girls, between the ages of 6 and 14, from economically and socially backward rural areas and providing them high-quality, relevant education at IIMPACT Learning Centres.

IIMPACT has helped +50,000 girls in 1,500 villages in 11 states of India, to date. Of these over 26,000 girls have completed primary education at IIMPACT Learning Centres and joined mainstream, government-run, upper primary and secondary education institutions. Over the years, IIMPACT has developed a clear strategy and a proven delivery model, both in terms of social outcomes, as well as scalability.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

IIMPACT wishes to hire a high-energy, result-oriented development professional, with strong interest and capabilities in Donor Management, Reporting and Communication.
Reporting to the Director/ Head, Resource Mobilization, Donor Relations and Communications, the post-holder shall be responsible for maintaining and servicing existing donors, apart from cultivating new ones, through proactive, timely and accurate communication.

Key Job Responsibilities:
(A) Existing Donor Management

(1) Ensure all relevant information about donors viz. proposals, MoUs, reports, fund requests, receipts and details of fund utilization, is available and accessible to authorised persons and updated for suitable action;
(2) Develop a donor contact program for existing donors, encompassing reports, calls and visits and provide logistical support to donors during visits;
(3) Prepare and follow-up with existing donors, for early decisions on contract renewals;
(4) Work with the finance team to regularly update the finance tracker for alerts and follow-ups;
(5) Develop a follow-up process for retail donors, to minimize unsponsored centres.

(B) Donor Induction and Reporting
(1) Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring resource mobilization strategies, including innovative approaches to raise financial resources for the GCE program of IIMPACT;
(2) Create, develop and maintain a robust institutional donor database for following-up with donors; 
(3) Develop strategies and plans for improving the retail donor database, in consultation with the Director, Resource Mobilization;

(4) Support the development of relevant, program-based, content/ proposals, working with the program team, for enabling partnerships and resource mobilization;
(5) Support all other measures which could enhance the resource base of the organization, such as, crowdfunding, legacy funding, events, etc.;
(6) Develop high-quality presentations/ content, in collaboration with the programme team, for use in resource mobilization pitches and efforts;
(7) Ensure the preparation of timely, accurate and complete donor reports, and related materials, to accompany newsletters, as necessary;
(8) Accompany donor teams in field visits;
(9) Ensure timely and quality response to donor queries in consultation with the Director/ Head, Resource Mobilization, Donor Relations and Communications, coordinating with other departments, as necessary;
(10) Any other work assigned by the Reporting Manager.


(C) Social Media and Digital Communication:
(1) Provide support for building, revamping and rolling-out the organization’s social and mass media strategy, along with refurbishing the IIMPACT website;
(2) Undertake social media campaigns for fundraising and stakeholder engagement;
(3) Assist the Director/ Head, Resource Mobilization, Donor Relations and Communications in undertaking digital marketing initiatives, enabling wider outreach of the organization’s initiatives and accomplishments;
(4) Work on the development of quality content for various media platforms, coordinating with other departments and field colleagues, as well as partners.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Qualification
Applicants must have a Masters’ degree in Social Sciences, Management, Communication, or other relevant field.

Experience

(1) Applicants must have at least five years of progressive experience in donor relations, with emphasis on reporting and communication;
(2) Experience in the area of education in the development sector, shall be an advantage.


Skills and Competencies
(1) Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are of utmost importance;

(2) Good understanding of the digital marketing domain;
(3) Ability to work collaboratively, with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
(4) Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to work and engage effectively, with diverse sets of stakeholders;
(5) Demonstrable relationship management skills;
(6) Ability to meet deadlines and occasionally work for extended hours;
(7) Strong process-orientation;
(8) Expertise in Donor Communication and Reporting;
(9) Proficiency in developing high-quality proposals, presentations and formats;
(10) Willingness and ability to travel to the different sites and locations in which IIMPACT works. 
 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
