1. POSITION VACANT: Program Coordinator (Four Vacancies), Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation, Chhattisgarh

Government of India
 (GOI) initiated Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) as an independent organization under the Societies Registration Act, to facilitate civil society action in partnership with the Central and State Governments, for transforming livelihoods and lives of rural households, with an emphasis on women, particularly in the Central Indian Tribal Region.

BRLF is a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative and the Foundation is constituted as a partnership between Government on the one hand and private sector philanthropies, public and private sector undertakings (under Corporate Social Responsibility), on the other. Major functions of BRLF comprise the provision of financial grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to meet their human resource and institutional costs for up-scaling proven interventions, invest in institutional strengthening of smaller CSOs and capacity building of professional human resources working at the grassroots. The General Body and Executive Committee of BRLF are constituted by eminent individuals, as well as ex-officio representatives from private philanthropies, public and private sector organizations, financial institutions, State Governments and GOI.

High Impact Mega-Watershed Project Chhattisgarh

This project was formally launched on October 5, 2018 between Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Cell, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation and Axis Bank Foundation. It is estimated that a total of one lakh families would be benefitted through land and water treatment measures in 7.29 lakhs hectares of catchments area in 28 blocks of 13 districts (Sarguja, Surajpur, Raigarh, Korba, Koriya, Dhamtari, Balrampur, Kanker, Narayanpur, Sukma, Bastar, Dantewada and Kawardha) in Chhattisgarh state.

The project aims to build capacities of front-line functionaries, PRIs, community members and CSOs on ridge to valley principles of watershed implementation.

Reporting to the Senior Program Executive, the Program Coordinator (PC) shall be responsible for the following: 

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Point person for all communication with BRLF, SPMU and the field staff;
(2) Oversee the smooth implementation of all project activities and will ensure all project deliverables are timely achieved;
(3) Ensure and provide all logistics support like office space, usage of fixed assets and availability of consumables to the project team;
(4) Prepare and submit activity and financial reports regularly to the reporting officer;
(5) Lead and motivate the block implementation team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate with other stakeholders and volunteers to be engaged in the project;
(6) Ensure close collaboration and coordination with other team members deployed in the project region and assist them about achieve the project deliverables and milestones;
(7) Provide direction to the team for effective implementation of the program;
(8) Network and liaison with government and non-government institutions for training funds, technical assistance etc.;
(9) Ensure compliance with systems and processes and timely progress reporting;
(10) Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer and management.


Applicants must have a graduate in any discipline or a Post Graduate in Science/ Humanities from reputed institutions

(1) 20-25 years’ of experience in relevant field would be preferable along with ability to engage with farmers and community collectives;
(2) Should be able to collaborate with relevant stakeholders/ agencies to improve coordination and programme delivery on the ground.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good communication skills in English and Hindi along with computing skills.
(2) Ability to work in a multi-cultural/ multi-disciplinary team;
(3) Ability to multi-task and exhibit meticulous planning skills;
(4) Desire to learn new things from the field;

The remuneration package budgeted for the position is between INR 25,000 to 30,000 per month. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

8. APPOINTMENT: This is a contractual engagement for a period of six months. The engagement may be renewed/ extended, based on the performance and/or requirement of the organization.
