1. POSITION VACANT: Cluster Coordinator (Agriculture) (Nine Vacancies), Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation, Chhattisgarh

Government of India
 (GOI) initiated Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) as an independent organization under the Societies Registration Act, to facilitate civil society action in partnership with the Central and State Governments, for transforming livelihoods and lives of rural households, with an emphasis on women, particularly in the Central Indian Tribal Region.

BRLF is a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative and the Foundation is constituted as a partnership between Government on the one hand and private sector philanthropies, public and private sector undertakings (under Corporate Social Responsibility), on the other. Major functions of BRLF comprise the provision of financial grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to meet their human resource and institutional costs for up-scaling proven interventions, invest in institutional strengthening of smaller CSOs and capacity building of professional human resources working at the grassroots. The General Body and Executive Committee of BRLF are constituted by eminent individuals, as well as ex-officio representatives from private philanthropies, public and private sector organizations, financial institutions, State Governments and GOI.

High Impact Mega-Watershed Project, Chhattisgarh

This project was formally launched on October 5, 2018 between Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Cell, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation and Axis Bank Foundation. It is estimated that a total of one lakh families would be benefitted through land and water treatment measures in 7.29 lakhs hectares of catchments area in 28 blocks of 13 districts (Sarguja, Surajpur, Raigarh, Korba, Koriya, Dhamtari, Balrampur, Kanker, Narayanpur, Sukma, Bastar, Dantewada and Kawardha) in Chhattisgarh state.

The project aims to build capacities of front-line functionaries, PRIs, community members and CSOs on ridge to valley principles of watershed implementation.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Cluster Coordinator Agriculture (CC-A) shall be responsible for the following;

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Work in close coordination with Team Leader and report progress on monthly basis;
(2) Formulate yearly plan of action and ensure smooth implementation of project activities in all targeted villages;
(3) Supervise the work of Social Mobilizers and provide them hand holding support at cluster level;
(4) Data and MIS management.


Qualification and Experience:

Graduate in any discipline (Preferably B.Sc. Agri or equivalent) with minimum one to two years of work experience in social mobilization;
Matriculate with minimum five years’ work experience in social mobilization and agriculture development with rural community at the grassroots level;

Candidate who are trained and guided by reputed CSO/ Institution with more than five years of work experience on natural resource management especially agriculture development shall be preferred;

Should be motivated to work in the villages specially with deprived sections and willing to acquire new knowledge and skills relevant to the project and guide implementation processes;

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Fluency to communicate in local language;
(2) Ability to work in a multi-cultural/ multi-disciplinary team;
(3) Ability to multi-task and work well in such a team;
(4) Willing to travel;

The remuneration package budgeted for the position is between 12,500 to 16,500 per month. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

7. LOCATION: Intensive Block headquarters of Chhattisgarh; Bodla, Bakawand, Dantewada, Sukma, Charama, Pratappur, Magarlod, Gharghoda, Bhanupratappur and Bharatpur

8. APPOINTMENT: This is a contractual engagement for a period of six months. The engagement may be renewed/ extended, based on the performance and/or requirement of the organization.
