1. POSITION VACANT: Area Coordinator (Five Vacancies), Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh

2ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
Government of India
 (GOI) initiated Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) as an independent organization under the Societies Registration Act, to facilitate civil society action in partnership with the Central and State Governments, for transforming livelihoods and lives of rural households, with an emphasis on women, particularly in the Central Indian Tribal Region.

BRLF is a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative and the Foundation is constituted as a partnership between Government on the one hand and private sector philanthropies, public and private sector undertakings (under Corporate Social Responsibility), on the other. Major functions of BRLF comprise the provision of financial grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to meet their human resource and institutional costs for up-scaling proven interventions, invest in institutional strengthening of smaller CSOs and capacity building of professional human resources working at the grassroots. The General Body and Executive Committee of BRLF are constituted by eminent individuals, as well as ex-officio representatives from private philanthropies, public and private sector organizations, financial institutions, State Governments and GOI.

ABOUT PROJECT
BRLF is implementing a project named “Strengthening Civil Society Action for Transforming Lives of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups of Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh” with the support of the European Union. The specific objective of the project is (i) To enhance the quality of outcomes of the grassroots CSO intervention in the areas of water and clean energy in the wake of increasing climate change (ii) To build the capacities of CSOs in resource mobilization, advocacy and policy dialogue and (iii) To drive innovations in program content and strategy for improved climate resilience in water and clean energy sector.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Program Executive- BRLF, the Area Coordinator (AC) shall be responsible for the following:

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Oversee and implement all project activities and be the main contact point for the BRLF management and the field staff;
(2) Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulation of the BRLF and donor organization;
(3) Oversee and development and execution the project activities, the lead project team at field level and prepare and execute action plans as directed by the reporting officer;
(4) Submit activity reports, meeting minutes, and financial reports regularly to the reporting officer; 
(5) Lead and motivate the implementation team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate with other stakeholders and volunteers to be engaged in the project;
(6) Ensure close collaboration and coordination with other team members deployed in the project region and assist them about achieve the project deliverables and milestones;
(7) Documentation of case studies and success stories in coordination of field team; 
(8) Provide direction to the team for effective implementation of the program;
(9) Network and liaison with government and non-government institutions for training funds, technical assistance, etc.;
(10) Complete other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer and management.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 

Qualification:

(1) Applicant must be a Graduate in any stream.
(2) Applicant with Master’s in Social Work will be an added advantage.

Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in project implementation in the development sector.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good communication skills in English and Hindi along with computing skills;
(2) Ability to work in a multi-cultural/ multi-disciplinary team;
(3) Ability to multi-task and work well in such a team;
(4) Willing to travel;

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: 
The remuneration package budgeted for the position is INR 30,000 per month. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

7. LOCATION(s): District of Jharkhand, Palamu [1]; District of Madhya Pradesh, Shivpuri[1], Karahal[1], Vijaypur[1] and Guna[1]

8. APPOINTMENT: This is a contractual engagement for a period of six months. The engagement may be renewed/ extended, based on the performance and/or requirement of the organization.
