1. POSITION VACANT: Field Coordinator (11 Vacancies), Bharat Rural Livelihood Foundation, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh

2ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
Government of India
 (GOI) initiated Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) as an independent organization under the Societies Registration Act, to facilitate civil society action in partnership with the Central and State Governments, for transforming livelihoods and lives of rural households, with an emphasis on women, particularly in the Central Indian Tribal Region.

BRLF is a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative and the Foundation is constituted as a partnership between Government on the one hand and private sector philanthropies, public and private sector undertakings (under Corporate Social Responsibility), on the other. Major functions of BRLF comprise the provision of financial grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to meet their human resource and institutional costs for up-scaling proven interventions, invest in institutional strengthening of smaller CSOs and capacity building of professional human resources working at the grassroots. The General Body and Executive Committee of BRLF are constituted by eminent individuals, as well as ex-officio representatives from private philanthropies, public and private sector organizations, financial institutions, State Governments and GOI.

ABOUT PROJECT
BRLF is implementing a project named “Strengthening Civil Society Action for Transforming Lives of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups of Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh” with the support of the European Union. The specific objective of the project is (i) To enhance the quality of outcomes of the grassroots CSO intervention in the areas of water and clean energy in the wake of increasing climate change (ii) To build the capacities of CSOs in resource mobilization, advocacy and policy dialogue and (iii) To drive innovations in program content and strategy for improved climate resilience in water and clean energy sector.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Area Coordinator, the Field Coordinator  (FC) shall be responsible for the following:

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Identification of the beneficiaries based on the selection criteria as advised by the reporting officer and ensure proper implementation of the project activities at the village level;
(2) Conduct community meetings and build the capacity of CSOs/ CBOs in various themes like climate change, clean energy, and water;
(3) Network and liaison with government and non-government institutions for training funds, technical assistance, etc;
(4) Primary responsible for timely implementation of the all-project activities as per the action plan finalized by the BRLF;
(5) Prepare reports to progress data and submit it to Admin and MIS officer on weekly basis to ensure timely reporting into MIS software;
(6) Complete all other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer and management.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 

Qualification:

Senior Secondary/ Graduate

Experience:
Minimum three years of experience in the implementation of the project at the grassroots level.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good communication skills in English and Hindi along with computing skills;
(2) Ability to work in a multi-cultural/ multi-disciplinary team;
(3) Ability to multi-task and work well in such a team;
(4) Willing to travel;

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: 
The remuneration package budgeted for the position is INR 15,000 per month. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

6. NUMBER OF VACANCIES: 11 Vacancies

7. LOCATION(s): District of Jharkhand, Palamu; District of Madhya Pradesh, Shivpuri, Karahal, Vijaypur and Guna.

8. APPOINTMENT: This is a contractual engagement for a period of six months. The engagement may be renewed/ extended, based on the performance and/or requirement of the organization.
