Foundation for Education and Development (FED) is a highly respected, not for profit organization, working in education, established by Mr. Anil Bordia, former Secretary of Education, Government of India and other renowned educationists, in 2000. DD is a decentralized, innovative, process oriented and participatory programme, that identifies out of school adolescents in the remotest rural areas of Rajasthan and provides them a second chance for holistic education, equipping them with relevant skills and democratic values to work towards building a society where the mind is without fear and the head held high. It creates a new social order through community participation based on the values of equality and justice. DD seeks to provide value based and skills-oriented education to harness the leadership potential of youth for social transformation.
