1. POSITION VACANT: Global Data Solutions Officer, International NGO, New Delhi



Our client is an International NGO (INGO) and part of an international confederation of independent development agencies, addressing the needs of poor and marginalised communities in more than 30 countries across the globe. Our client has been active in India since 1978, implementing programmes directly, as well as in partnership with affiliated agencies and/or implementing partners. Our client executes cross-sectoral programmes, in the areas of agriculture and food security, climate change, economic inclusion, early childhood development, education, health and nutrition, access to sanitation and clean drinking water, and the establishment and strengthening of community institutions to lead and sustain development interventions.


Reporting to the Organisational Performance Officer, the Global Data Solutions Officer will be responsible for providing technical support for our client’s global Salesforce- based platforms for pipeline, grant and indicator management: the Awards Information Management System (AIMS), the Global Reach System (GRS) and PROMISE3. S/he will provide technical support and training to users in different offices and countries, lead the maintenance of the platforms and offer strategic insights on how to utilise, customise and adapt the platforms to meet the needs of the organisation.

S/he will work closely with several departments within the organisation including Organisational Effectiveness and Performance, Global Programme Team, and Finance, among others.

Awards Information Management System

AIMS is our client’s tool for pipeline and grant management, including financial tracking, implementation planning and impact monitoring. With AIMS, our client is able to analyse funding sources, track organisational performance, analyse award-level indicator data and manage donor contacts and relationships.

Global Reach System

Reach data, aggregated across all awards, is entered into GRS annually to track the scale and scope of our client’s programming across geographies and themes.


The Programme Management Information System for Education by Everywhere, (PROMISE3) will offer local education stakeholders with the means to better collect, analyse and act on real-time data relating to students’ enrolment, attendance and learning outcomes through a Salesforce-powered data collection application.

This is a key position for an IT professional with expert knowledge of Salesforce, to help our client better interpret and manage its core programmes and operations across multiple offices and countries.

Key Deliverables:

(1) Provide user support to 300+ platform users including logins, platform navigation, data entry and analysis;
(2) Track license allocations including allocating new licenses when staff have joined and deactivating licenses when staff have left;
(3) Manage and implement change requests. Liaise directly with Vera Solutions, the platforms’ vendor, to relay complex technical changes or queries. Provide monthly summaries of hours required from Vera Solutions’ support retainer in order to prioritise tasks;
(4) Create new donor contacts in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module of AIMS;
(5) Support users in navigating the Go-No-Go process for pipeline management by providing technical support and bypassing phases, when required;
(6) Uphold best practices in system configuration, testing, deployment and documentation;
(7) Ensure platform maintenance by installing new releases and ensuring data is appropriately and consistently backed-up;
(8) Create compelling and user-friendly reports and dashboards to visualise data;
(9) Create reports and dashboards to track data quality and use them to generate weekly summaries of missing or inconsistent data;
(10) Support efforts to integrate Salesforce platforms with other local and global systems (e.g. mobile data collection tools, local databases, global finance systems, PowerBI, etc.);
(11) Support efforts to solicit feedback from users to identify opportunities to enhance user experiences and adapt the platforms to meet the needs of the organisation;
(12) Lead historical migrations of data from previous systems, when necessary.




(1) Applicants must be graduates with a degree in computer science, or data science, or computer engineering, or equivalent;
(2) Salesforce Certification (Admin or App Builder).


(1) Five years of experience in providing technical support and adoption, on the Salesforce platform, is essential;
(2) 1 to 2 years of Salesforce functional experience (end to end project implementation; understanding of the data management cycle and how that links to supporting users; data management including reporting, data cleaning, and backups; system maintenance including documentation and upgrades);

(3) Prior experience with grant management or impact measurement processes, is desirable.

(8) Understanding of contexts, challenges and opportunities across our client’s core geographies.


Gross compensation budgeted for the position is Rs. 16-18 lacs per annum, excluding medical and accident insurance and gratuity. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

6. LOCATION: New Delhi/ Flexible: Our client is based in New Delhi, but is open to considering candidates based in other cities across the country.
