2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

India Health Fund (IHF) is a collaborative initiative of the Tata Trusts and The Global Fund to leverage the power of collective impact and catalyse India’s fight against infectious diseases. IHF was conceived to accelerate India’s progress towards the elimination of infectious diseases in line with the objectives of the Government of India and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by supporting the development of breakthrough solutions which help accelerate eradication of these diseases as well as aggregate funds and deploy resources to finance the development of these solutions to enable better outcomes in diagnosis, treatment, control and monitoring of infectious diseases. Key collaborators of the IHF include central and state government agencies, philanthropists, civil society organisations, incubators, start-ups, knowledge institutions, technical partners, business leaders, corporations.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate- Accounts (Grant Operations) shall be a part of the Operations Team and will report to Manager- Finance and Grant Management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Finance, Budget & Accounting:
(a) To ensure accounting records are maintained as per prescribed standards and policies;
(b) Timely deliverables w.r.t statutory compliances;
(c) Assist in preparation of budgets;
(d) Tracking expenditure against approved budgets;
(e) Maintaining cash flow records on monthly basis;
(f) Correspondence with banks;
(g) Assist in Audit engagements: support the audit process as required

(2) Programme Funding Management:

(a) Creating MIS for facilitating planning and tracking of Programme funding;
(b) Coordination with Programme beneficiaries;
(c) Assist in review of Programmes and ensuring all the documentation is in order.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Graduate/ post graduate with finance and accounting background.

Experience:
(1) 3-5 years of relevant experience of working in impact investment fund, social sector or grant organization, start-up or social enterprise;
(2) Experience in accounting function is essential;
(3) Experience in a not-for-profit organization is not essential but will be preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Tally;
(2) Logical thinker, ability to connect the dots;
(3) Project execution experience;
(4) Comfortable working in situations with tight timelines or dealing with ad-hoc requests.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is Rs. 8 Lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
