About the Project:
iDEFEAT TB is USAID’s flagship TB Project for Institutional Strengthening to Accelerate Actions Against TB and Drug Resistant TB in India. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen TB-related institutions, focusing on programmatic and clinical management of patients with TB and DR-TB, and thereby contributing to the achievement of India’s National Strategic Plan and targets for TB elimination. iDEFEAT TB is being implemented by a consortium of partners, led by The Union.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Project Director iDEFEAT TB, in The Union’s South East Asia (USEA) Office, the National Consultant - Human Resource Development shall be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Tasks:
(1) Supporting Central TB Division (CTD) by facilitating capacity building, planning and the conduct of training at the National, State, and District levels;
(2) Creating a knowledge skill framework in respect of NTEP staff;
(3) Assisting CTD in collaborating with National Institutes, national training sites and training partners for the preparation of training schedules and facilitation of training;
(4) Assisting CTD in the capacity building of concerned resource persons at the State Training and Demonstration Centres, in coordination with other team members;
(5) Assisting CTD in monitoring and quality assurance of training imparted at the National, State, and District levels;
(6) Facilitating change management with respect to the use of ICT tools in relation to Human Resource development in NTEP;
(7) Any other job assigned, as per programme need.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must have Post Graduate Degree in Management (Human Resources).
Experience:
Applicants must have five years’ experience in managing Human Resources, preferably in the Public Health domain.
Skills And Competencies:
(1) Proven ability and experience in leading and facilitating training workshops;
(2) Must be self-driven with a strong sense of initiative;
(3) Ability to work effectively in a team environment throughout the training and development life cycle;
(4) Good interpersonal skills including problem solving and leadership abilities;
(5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
(6) Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently;
(7) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Power Point and Outlook;
(8) Ability to plan, set priorities, manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted (inclusive of all taxes) for the position is INR 20,00,000 per annum (non-negotiable). Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
7. DURATION OF CONTRACT: The incumbent shall be offered a one-year contract.
