1. POSITION VACANT: Project Manager- Supply Chain, Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), Haryana

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting to the Programme Lead, the Project Manager- Supply Chain will work collaboratively with the larger sustainable cold-chain team at AEEE and local stakeholders in Haryana (from government, industry, academic and farming) in conducting research, analysis, and other tasks to ensure the creation of quality outputs such as reports, memos, and presentations that support the advancement of our cold-chain programme and help develop new partnerships in and around the region.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:
 

(A) Leading programme planning, execution, outreach, and communications

(1) Tracking and supporting project reporting milestones and requirements

(2) Conducting research tasks in contribution to programme or project activities

(3) Staying abreast of the regional / state-centric developments in India and globally in the field of cold chains, including but not limited to Doubling Farmers’ Income (DFI), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), markets reforms in agricultural produce trade and commerce, logistics policies, Global Food Cold Chain Council (GFCCC)

(4) Track key state-level initiatives and schemes related to cold chain, state climate action plans and sustainable development goals; identify potential opportunities to integrate energy efficiency in these policies and schemes

(5) Support/Lead the development of financing/business models for cold chain development, including Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)

(6) Lead active networking and contribute to the formulation of bilateral initiatives in the areas of cold chain financing, technology development and adoption, market linkages (local, state and export) as well as training and development.

(7) Generate content and outreach activities for blogs, brochures, online posts, and articles

(8) Support/Lead-in writing and preparing discussion papers, project reports, issue briefs, journal-papers

(9) Lead/Support in the development of surveys and questionnaires and to collect, collate and analyze the data using different data analysis software/tools

(B) Leading coordinating team collaboration and administration

(1) Providing support on project deliverables, wherever required

(2) Supporting the development of programme and project dissemination materials in collaboration with our programmatic and communications team

(3) Willing to travel within India to carry out various project activities

(4) Supporting planning and execution of events and workshops

(C) Leading proposal writing and business development

(1) Support/Lead primary and secondary research for proposals and project implementation

(2) Support/Lead-in identification of potential strategy areas, developing proposals and undertaking meaningful research to support policymaking

(3) Identify and develop good connections with the relevant stakeholders, including key government and private stakeholders in the horticulture and agriculture sector.

(4) Explore opportunities for future collaborations for project implementation and strengthening the team’s ongoing work

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification

(1) Applicants must be possessing a master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in logistics and supply chain management, post-harvest management or equivalent areas relevant to cold chain development in agriculture (and allied sectors) sector from reputed institutions in India or overseas

(2) PhD degree in a relevant discipline would be a definite plus

 

Experience

(1) Minimum seven years of relevant experience in Agri-supply chain and/or implementation

(2) Experience in national/international institutions and/or companies, government agencies, with a demonstrated track record of successful engagement in complex projects

(3) Demonstrates a solid understanding of agricultural and allied sectors’ policies, immunization policies, logistics policies, supply chain strategies, private sector participation, and institutional development needed to support analytical work and project deliverables

(4) Understanding of the present market and overall supply chain for agriculture (and allied sectors).

(5) Translates technical analyses into policies and/or knowledge materials for various stakeholders, including farmers, Agri-entrepreneurs, and FPOs as they relate to the development of an integrated cold-chain infrastructure in India

(6) Experience in policy development support and implementation in the field of energy efficiency in agricultural cold chains is preferred

(7) Experience leading and/or playing key roles in policy dialogue with clients and stakeholders for government, industry, and civil society in the agriculture sector

(8) Excellent track record in carrying out high-quality and timely analytical reports and activities would be advantageous

 

Skills and Competencies

(1) Excellent writing skills in English and fluent in spoken Hindi.

(2) Strong ability to articulate, comprehend and synthesize technical information for people working in the policy arena, agriculture will be plus

(3) Excellent visualization and presentation skills

(4) Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a pre-requisite

(5) Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation software

(6) High level of excitement, ability to work independently, taking the initiative, and flexibility in quickly adjusting to changing work program requirements

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:


Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
