About The Project:

 

iDEFEAT TB - Institutional Strengthening to Accelerate Actions for TB and Drug Resistant TB in India is USAID’s flagship TB project in India. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen TB-related institutions focusing on programmatic and clinical management of patients with TB and DR-TB, thereby contributing to achievement of India’s National Strategic Plan and targets set forth at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB. iDEFEAT TB will be implemented by The Union-led consortium.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships (iDEFEAT TB Project), the State Technical Advisor (STA) shall be responsible for the following:

Key Tasks:
(1) Support state governments in developing state and district level strategy for corporate engagement.
(2) Provide technical support to State TB Cell in the development and implementation of policies and guidelines on TB and workplace.
(3) Facilitate district plans for corporate sector engagement and facilitate coordination at district and state level.
(4) Facilitate corporate engagement and promotion of Corporate TB Pledge initiative in the state.
(5) Provide support to state and Corporate TB Pledge (CTP) secretariat in organizing corporate consultations, training and meetings focusing on corporate engagement at state level.
(6) Coordinate with partnering agencies and organizations involved in corporate sector engagement and inter-Ministerial collaboration
(7) Undertake state level supervision, monitoring and evaluation of corporate supported projects in association with CTP secretariat.
(8) Facilitate documentation and dissemination of success stories
(9) Support in development of communication plan and coordination with external agencies and consultants
(10) Perform other duties as required in the interests of Corporate TB Pledge initiative.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social sciences, political science, public or business administration, or related fields.

Experience:
(1) Minimum five years of relevant experience in project management, coordination with partners and supporting project level communication activities;
(2) Experience in facilitating Public-Private Partnerships.
(3) Experience in TB/ Health/ Communication;
(4) In-depth experience and strong track record in multi-stakeholder partnership building and dealing with both public and private sectors, international or inter-governmental organizations;
(5) Knowledge on social/ inclusive business and inclusive markets;
(6) Experience in coordination with public sector.

Skills And Competencies:
(1) Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills to interact with people at all levels in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment
(2) Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, outlook), Data management software, Internet.
(3) Excellent drafting and presentation skills including ability to draft clear and concise reports
(4) Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of tasks
(5) Willingness to travel within country as per project needs.
(6) Ability to plan, set priorities, handle multiple tasks under tight deadline.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is Rs. 12 lacs per annum (non-negotiable). Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

6. DURATION OF CONTRACT: This is a full-time position, and the initial contract will be offered for a period of one year, which shall be renewable based on performance.
