About The Project:

 

iDEFEAT TB - Institutional Strengthening to Accelerate Actions for TB and Drug Resistant TB in India is USAID’s flagship TB project in India. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen TB-related institutions focusing on programmatic and clinical management of patients with TB and DR-TB, thereby contributing to achievement of India’s National Strategic Plan and targets set forth at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB. iDEFEAT TB will be implemented by The Union-led consortium.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Project Director,(iDEFEAT TB Project), the National Consultant Patient Support Systems shall be responsible for the following:

Key Tasks

(1) Support the Central Tuberculosis Division in improving the reach, effectiveness and impact of patient support systems including Adherence monitoring tools, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and patient counselling tools.
(2) Develop/modify SOPs and guidelines in relation to the above
(3) Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of updated guidelines.
(4) Coordinate with the IT team to ensure effective integration between the Nikshay, adherence monitoring tools and external systems such as PFMS.
(5) Provide technical and training support to State Governments in optimal implementation of various patient support systems
(6) Develop review, appraisal process and feedback mechanism
(7) Understand existing processes and identify improvements to simplify and increase their efficiency.
(8) Support in conducting Review and monitoring the implementation of patient support systems.
(9) Other responsibilities as needed.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in a related field such as Public Health, Management

Experience:

(1) Minimum five years of professional experience in demanding, results-oriented environments in the public sector and/or private sector.
(2) Prior experience working in digital financial services (PFMS) especially in the public sector is desirable.

Skills And Competencies:

(1) Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and adapt to changing requirements and advocate for driving change in large programme settings
(2) Understanding of use and implementation technology in public health along with use of data for action.
(3) Strong command of English required regional Indian languages is an advantage.
(4) Strong communication skills, including development of compelling presentations with the ability to translate technical content and results into formats suitable for various audiences.
(5) Ability to work independently on complex projects and proactively manage projects with minimal supervision.
(6) High EQ and excellent interpersonal skills, especially in cross-cultural settings and highly distributed work environments with demonstrated ability to build relationships quickly.
(7) Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross functional teams with multiple stakeholders.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is Rs. 20 lacs per annum (non-negotiable). Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

6. DURATION OF CONTRACT: This is a full-time position, and the initial contract will be offered for a period of one year, which shall be renewable based on performance.
