3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to Advisor Documentation and Knowledge Management and Coordinator - Regional South Asia PHC Forum, the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) shall contribute to the documentation and knowledge management of Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) programs at Jhpiego and shall be responsible for the following:

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Ensure regular documentation of the achievements of the program and develop various knowledge products including lessons learnt, policy and advocacy briefs, etc;
(2) Ensure the increased visibility of NISHTHA’s achievements among various stakeholders including MoHFW and USAID by developing various knowledge and advocacy products;
(3) Identify and organize events and different avenues for disseminating the achievements of the project on a regular basis;
(4) Support in increasing the digital brand engagement of NISHTHA at the national and international level;
(5) Support in organizing key events/ webinars/ ted talks/ advocacy workshops/ brown bag events of the project including dissemination events to showcase the work of NISHTHA among external stakeholders;
(6) Coordinate and maintain the repository of all materials to enable cross-learning and sharing;
(7) Build a culture of knowledge sharing within the NISHTHA team and among external stakeholders through communities of practice;
(8) Work closely with the Advisor Documentation and Knowledge Management and Coordinator Regional South Asia PHC Forum to streamline NISHTHA’s documentation and knowledge management;
(9) Support the Chief of Party in ideating and increasing the visibility of NISHTHA through regular campaigns, ted talks, and other new high-visibility mediums;
(10) Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification
Applicants must have a master’s degree in a related subject of Social Sciences, Public Health, or Mass Communication.  


Experience
(1) Applicants must have five years of relevant work experience in documentation and knowledge management preferably in the not-for-profit sector in India;
(2) Prior experience of developing knowledge products and managing knowledge platforms is preferred;
(3) Experience in quality documentation and ability to simplify and present complex terms as per audience with excellent writing skills shall be desirable;
(4) Advance knowledge of grammar, usage, and editorial style and guidelines;
(5) High proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), especially working with styles and templates.

Skills and Competencies
(1) Strong written and oral communication skills in English and a good knowledge of Hindi;
(2) Strong editing skills and ability to tailor communication materials for different audiences;
(3) Strong organizational skills to establish and maintain a communications knowledge bank;
(4) Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate comfortably with varied audiences;
(5) Excellent attention to detail;
(6) Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines;
(7) Willingness to learn and adapt to new things;
(8) Willingness to travel intermittently;
(9) High level of integrity;
(10) An interest in Public Health.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
