2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
 

Our client is a respected non-profit organisation working in the field of education across India.
 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Head of Projects (Education), shall ensure the successful implementation of large-scale education projects, with responsibility for providing leadership, and overall direction to all project activities. S/he shall work with and build effective partnerships across a broad range of stakeholders, including government, civil society, private sector, multi-laterals, and key donors.


Key Job Responsibilities:

(1) Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for educational initiatives, including setting objectives, defining timelines, and identifying resource requirements;
(2) Oversee the implementation of educational programs, projects and initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered effectively and efficiently, and monitor progress against established targets and milestones;
(3) Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, community organizations, and parents, to ensure their involvement and support;
(4) Lead a large team responsible for project implementation, including program coordinators, facilitators, and support staff;
(5) Develop strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and scalability of different projects. Identify opportunities for project expansion, replication, and adaptation;
(6) Represent the organisation at key forums such as meetings and conferences at the state/ regional/ national level.


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification and Experience
Applicants must have a PhD degree in education, social sciences or related discipline, with at least five years of experience in managing large-scale education programs at state, regional, or national level.

Skills and Competencies

(1) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
(2) Excellent project management skills: ability to manage projects & delivery schedules;
(3) Ability to handle large-scale programs;
(4) Ability to independently manage diverse stakeholders, especially senior state officials
(5) Experience in leading high-performing teams
(6) High level of spoken and written fluency in English
.


5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

The gross compensation for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
