1.  POSITION VACANT: Manager– Programs, Smile Train India, Mumbai (One Vacancy)

3.  KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting the Vice President and Regional Director, South Asia, the Manager-Programs shall be responsible for managing regional programs of Smile Train in India.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

(1) Managing and supporting existing treatment partners and grant recipients for their administrative needs, to ensure that programs are aligned with the overall goals, mission, priorities and policies of the organization. The job holder shall work closely with the above to accelerate the number of sponsored cleft surgeries, whilst complying with safety and/or quality standards mandated by the Medical Advisory Board;
(2) Fostering a culture of collaborative working relationships with partners, surgeons and staff to facilitate them achieve their objectives in a sustainable manner;
(3) Identifying and developing suitable hospitals and surgeons in underserved areas within the assigned territory, to expand the coverage of Smile Train partnerships and programs;
(4) Generating content (case stories and photographs) from the field, collating impactful stories to support the marketing team locally as well as globally;
(5) Supporting the Communications & Fundraising team in implementing Marketing and PR strategies and events in the assigned region, to enhance Smile Train’s visibility among potential donors, in alignment with the organization’s overall goals of financial self-sufficiency;
(6) Building and nurturing strategic linkages with suitable external partners, e.g. local corporates, medical educational institutions etc. that can function as ‘force multipliers’ to bolster Smile Train’s fundraising plans in India;
(7) Spread the impact of cleft surgeries programs by identifying, validating and acquiring new partners in alignment with Smile Train’s operating and governance principles;
(8) Tracking all key performance metrics and organizing periodic reviews and site visits; Ensuring communication with partners and performing all required Smile Train’s project management functions related to these partnerships
(9) Facilitating and coordinating periodic quality checks/ audits (both Financial and Medical), to ensure that partner hospitals reflect consistent standards;
(10) Keeping the Regional Director-South Asia continually informed through periodic reports on major developments, key issues and progress against agreed targets.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:
Applicants should be PGs in either Business, or Management, or Marketing/Communications, or similar specialisation, from reputed institutions.

Experience:
(1) Minimum of five to eight years of relevant progressive experience with a focus on programme management, partnership management, stakeholder management and advocacy in Public Health/ Healthcare;

(2) Experience in building relationships and alliances, across all levels in diverse organizations both internally and externally;
(3) Experience in effectively managing partner relationships, demonstrating partner growth and satisfaction with services
 

Skills:
(1) Excellent communication abilities in English, Hindi and any regional language– both oral and in writing;
(2) High degree of computer literacy;
(3) Strong analytical and organizing skills;
(4) Initiative and creativity to develop and implement innovative programs;
(5) High levels of energy and commitment to excellence;
(6) Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills;
(7) A sincere commitment to the cause of helping children and a strong identification with Smile Train’s goals;

(8) Ability to travel 40-50 % of the time.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross annual remuneration ranges between Rs.18-22 lacs per annum. Please note that offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience, and salary history of the selected candidate.
