3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the accounts team members, the Accounts Manager shall be responsible for handling all legal compliance matters, internal controls and audits, reporting, banking relationships and payments while ensuring the authenticity, integrity, existence, accuracy, authorization and verifiability of all financial transactions recorded in the accounting system.

Key Responsibilities:
(1) Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of all GST and TDS matters including applicability, reverse charge, monthly deposit and deduction, quarterly and half-yearly returns; Ensure compliance at the transaction level;
(2) Manage the entire process (applicability, deduction, deposit and returns) of employee-related statutory payments of PF, ESI and professional tax; 
(3) Oversee FCRA compliances, which shall include maintenance of separate books of accounts, ensuring no mixing of FC and LC funds, managing sub-accounts, FCRA returns and other compliances;
(4) Treasury management: Managing funds by forecasting cash flows, setting limits for maximum balances and placing surplus/idle funds in FDs; 
(5) Ensure accuracy of project codes/ cost centers while recording transactions and all accounting entries are entered on the same day;
(6) Ensure strict compliance with project codes /cost centers, allocation and apportioning techniques for jointly incurred expenses by two or more projects, and update accounting system as per donor/ parent company reporting requirements; 
(7) Review and ensure completeness and accuracy of all transactions (income, unutilized grants, overheads recovery, accruals, provision for expenses etc.); 
(8) Prepare monthly variance analysis reports (budget vs actual) for each project and consolidated reports for the organization as a whole;
(9) Support internal and statutory audits, ensure timely preparation of financial statements and related schedules, and ensure timely completion of audits with unqualified reports; 
(10) Review all grant/ project agreements to ensure that amounts due are requested as per the mutually agreed timelines; Escalate to Senior Management any overdue amounts; 
(11) Play a super-user role for Tally and ensure full utilization of its capabilities; Improve and manage controls in Tally;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:        
Qualifications:
(1) M.Com. / MBA (Finance) or Equivalent or B.Com. with CA Inter/Final.  

Experience:
(1) Minimum eight to ten years of experience in accounting practices;
(2) Familiarity with FCRA compliance and understanding of donor audits will be an advantage.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Understanding of accounting concepts and principles;
(2) Excellent fluency with Tally and knowledge of all features and functionalities;
(3) Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, at ease with complex spreadsheets using macros;
(4) Methodical with a very high level of attention to detail & Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
(5) Effective written and verbal communication and excellent knowledge of English and Hindi languages;
(6) Team Player with ability to be flexible;
(7) Excellent prioritizing and time management skills;
(8) Self-starter with a drive to excel while achieving results;
(9) Very high level of commitment and integrity

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The actual offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
